The Spirit of Nashville is a collection of prints celebrating Nashville’s abundant charm and rich history. This project started in 2003 as a limited edition promotional calendar that would feature 14 prints designed in the tradition of the Golden Age of Poster Art, a style that was popular from the 1920s to the 1950s. A team of artists from Anderson Thomas Design sketched, researched, photographed and eventually rendered all of the designs in the collection using traditional as well as modern computer techniques. The collection was so well received that they decided to create a new series each year.
